Dr. Angela K. Chambers
The City Council is responsible for passing all local laws, approves the City's annual budget, monitors the efficiency and effectiveness of the city's operations and conducts investigations. But who investigates them? The people! It's time for all of Tulsa to step up, pay more attention and get involved.
I am a resident of District 1. For years, I have been waiting for change. I have come to the realization that many have, it's time to change the person responsible for representing the District.
As a resident of District 1 in Tulsa, it's crucial to recognize the power and responsibility in shaping the future of our community. While the City Council plays a significant role in passing local laws, approving budgets, and overseeing city operations, it's essential for residents like you and me to actively engage in the democratic process to ensure accountability and transparency.
I feel that our current representative is not effectively representing our interests or bringing about the changes we desire, and that is why I am taking action.
My job will be to keep the district informed, engaged, and be proactive. Thus, creating the positive changes we wish to see in District 1.
